About the Artist:
I’m Lisa, the face behind Elisabeth Allerton Jewelry. This is a one woman show, from sourcing stones and stone research, to designing, creating, photographing, shipping, and all the administrative tasks in between!

I have degrees in Criminal Justice and Criminology, and at one time dreamed of having an academic career. I have taken courses from the Gemological Institute of America, or the GIA – the world-renowned organization that sets industry standards. I am a GIA certified Accredited Jewelry Professional. The curriculum was invaluable, as I learned to accurately and ethically represent stones, and to truly appreciate the beauty of those that are natural and unique. I plan to continue my studies in Colored Stones with GIA. I have a separate certificate in Jewelry Design and Repair.

As you can tell, I really love gemstones! I am endlessly impressed that nature creates such beauty, and the reason I make jewelry is to show off these wonderful creations. In my top favorites are turquoise and rainbow moonstone, but I really and truly love every single gem I come across.

About the Shop:
Elisabeth Allerton was born in 2012, on Etsy, after outgrowing my beginner venture, Elisabeth Designs. Elisabeth Allerton was created to offer more skilled and unique designs made with higher quality gems. Some of my signature styles began to emerge with the birth of this new shop, and the basis for others carried over from Elisabeth Designs.

In 2013 I set jewelry-making aside to focus on personal goals. By the summer of 2018, I was ready to jump back into jewelry – with the goal of going full time. I wanted to branch out into the art form of metalsmithing. Now offering wire designs as well as fine metalsmith jewelry, Elisabeth Allerton has come into its’ own and I offer pieces to adorn women of all styles. All pieces are perfect for the empowered woman who loves something a little out of the ordinary!

Note for jewelry designers: I have two wire wrapping tutorials published in the book “Bewitching Bead and Wire Jewelry,” which can be found on Amazon by clicking the title.
