These earrings are made with black moonstone of the orthoclase variety. Not to be confused with labradorite – also a feldspar, but of the plagioclase variety - which some refer to as black moonstone. This black moonstone has beautiful golden adularescence, which is a shimmering, shifting phenomenon billowing from within the stone. The body color is a deep, true black.
The stones are suspended beneath hand-forged wavy hoops and hand-forged ear wires. These earrings are sterling silver. From the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the stones, the earrings are 2-1/16” in length.
