Labradorite is a stone that has climbed to popularity over the last decade and is more in demand than ever! These stones have incredible schiller, or “flash,” and they are carved into a sweet leaf shape. The stones hang in the middle of a hand-forged, organic circle. These earrings are sterling silver and they are 1 and 11/16” long, including the handmade ear wires.
Labradorite is a variety of feldspar. Rainbow moonstone is also a variety of labradorite. Labradorite is famous for its “flash,” or labradorescence, that can be seen when tilting the stone at different angles. This is light reflecting off surfaces where two crystals grew together. It’s named for Labrador, Canada, where it was discovered. Labradorite is not treated.
